Have you ever wanted to write a children’s story? Well, here’s your chance! This year’s Casey County Public Library’s Annual Writing Contest starts with “Once Upon A Time in Casey” You finish the rest of it in 200 words or less. Take your story anywhere you want – just remember it has to be a story for children. The deadline is 11:59 pm March 26, 2017.
The contest is open to Casey County residents only. There are two categories – Youth (grades 7 – 12) and Adult (over age 18). Cash prizes will be awarded to the top 3 stories in each group, along with award certificates and publication in the Casey County News and online. All entries must be original, unpublished work.
The rules are as follows:
Only one (1) entry per person
All entries must be typed and double-spaced
Entries will not be returned and entries received after deadline will not be eligible.
All judges’ decisions are final.
Each entry must include a cover sheet with the following information:
* Title of the entry
* Author’s Name
* Category (Youth or Adult)
* Mailing Address
* Telephone number
Entries may be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org, dropped off at the front desk of the Casey County Public Library, or mailed to:
